If your having a wedding in the fall no need to hurry and buy acorns now. Acorno Acorns sells acorns year-round. If you want acorns with the caps still on the acorns then the best time to order acorns is in late August for your fall wedding. Generally, as the nut grows or falls off the tree, the cap becomes separated. If your using acorns for a wedding centerpiece then Northern Red Oak Acorns will do the job nicely. You can order Northern Red Oak Acorns by the pound from us all year-round. Depending on the season our acorns range from $5-$7 per lb. If you order more than 25 lbs then your order qualifies for a bulk discount.

Buying Acorns for Animal Feed

Acorno Acorns www.Acorno.com sells acorns by the pound. You can buy 1 to 100,000 lbs of acorns from us. 1 pound of acorn costs $7 per pound. Orders over 25 pounds qualify for our bulk discount rate which ranges from $1.50 to $5 per pound. Acorno Acorns sells Northern Red Oak Acorns, Southern Red Oak Acorns, Pin Oaks/Water Oaks, and Black Oak Acorns. White Oak Acorns can be purchased in the fall. Squirrels love Northern Red Oak Acorns. If you have a pet squirrel or yard squirrels that you want to feed you should purchase Northern Red Oak Acorns www.acorno.com/orderacorns.html Squirrels and Flying Squirrels go nuts for Northern Red Oak Acorns. Gray and Red Squirrels both love Northern Red Oak Acorns. If your buying acorns for hogs you can purchase any type of acorns for sale. Hogs or pigs are the only animals that can’t taste the tannins in acorns. Finishing your hogs with acorn feed actually flavors the meat for slaughter. You can taste the difference in the meat. Hogs of course do prefer Black Oak Acorns and White Oak Acorns over Red Oaks, but will still eat Red Oak Acorns if none other types are available. We have seen videos of hogs ramming down fences to get to Oak trees. Hogs and Pigs go crazy for acorns.

Buying Acorns for Deer Bait

One of our busiest seasons at Acorno Acorns is pre-hunting season and hunting season. Deer love acorns. Deer prefer Black Oak Acorns and White Oak Acorns. Acorns aren’t filled with protein but they are fatty and higher in nutrients and deer prefer acorns over most any other food. While it may not be healthy for deer to acorns year-round they can only eat them in the fall when they fall off the tree. Acorno offers many hunter discounts starting in August. Visit our website in early August to view our package deals. Many of our special promotions are for bulk orders of 100 pounds of more. Many hunters will purchase 500 to 1,000 pounds of acorns for the deer hunting season. In 2009 we ran a special for 1,000 pounds of acorns for $1.50 per pound. If your in a tree stand nearby your best bet for shooting a big buck is to be near the acorn feeding grounds.

Oak Acorn Seedlings for Planting

Acorno sells Oak Acorn seedlings from April to September. All of our Oak acorn seedlings have been stratified. They spend the winters in Northern Vermont tucked away outside in storage containers. Our Northern Red Oak, Black Oak, and Southern Red Oak Acorns are sprouting and ready for ground planting or indoor planting. Our acorn seedlings cost the same as our acorns at $7 per lb. Acorns are shipped to the USA and Canada.

Acorns can be used for display projects and are great for catering events and other events. If you purchase acorns for display from us we will try to send you the best looking acorns for your event.
